As the global applications of the Arts in Education, Therapy, Community and Health continue to expand across healthcare, education, and community systems, professional organizations play a critical role in shaping the field. They contribute to the development of training standards, the establishment of ethical frameworks, the advancement of research and knowledge dissemination, and the promotion of professional recognition, while fostering international collaboration. 

This Global Dialogue session brings together leading professional organizational members of IACAET from Europe, Asia, and Australia to present their training models, institutional missions, and contributions to the evolving landscape of Arts & Health.

Together, the speakers will share diverse international perspectives on training, professional standards, and the integration of the arts across therapy, education, community, and health contexts.

This dialogue aligns with IACAET’s commitment to fostering international exchange, East–West integration, and cross-sector collaboration in the field of Creative Arts in Education, Therapy, Community and Health.

Niek Ghekiere

Agape Academy (Belgium)

Niek Ghekiere is the founder and director of Agape Academy and a body-oriented psychotherapist, supervisor, and trainer. A former president of the Belgian Association for Creative Therapy and Dance and Movement Therapy, his work integrates integral psychotherapy, neuroscience, and embodied approaches. He specializes in dance and movement therapy and Authentic Movement, as well as Neo-Reichian psychotherapy, and leads a four-year professional training program in Dance and Movement Therapy.   

Mimma Della Cagnoletta

Art Therapy Italiana (Italy)

Mimma Della Cagnoletta is a philosopher, psychologist, art therapist, psychoanalyst, and co-founder of Art Therapy Italiana. With over 40 years of experience, she has played a pioneering role in developing art therapy and dance movement therapy training in Italy. She currently directs Advanced Studies in Art Therapy and works across healthcare and educational settings, while contributing extensively to international research and professional organizations.  

Rosa Maria Govoni

Art Therapy Italiana (Italy)

Rosa Maria Govoni is a psychotherapist and Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT), and an internationally recognized Authentic Movement trainer. She is co-founder of Art Therapy Italiana and APID and has held key leadership roles in training and education. Her work integrates dance therapy with sensorimotor and polyvagal-informed approaches, and she teaches and supervises internationally. 

Tony Yu Zhou

Inspirees Institute (China)

Dr. Tony Yu Zhou is the Co-Founder and CEO of Inspirees Education Group and a leading figure in advancing creative arts therapies in China. With a background in biomedicine, he bridges science and the arts through dance therapy and embodied practice. He is the founder of Inspirees Institute and the journal CAET, and a Certified Movement Analyst (LIMS). He is also CEO of IACAET and a key promoter of global dialogue and East–West integration in the field. 

Karen Bradley

LIMS (USA)

Karen Bradley, MA, CMA, RSME, R-DMT, is President and faculty member of the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies (LIMS). She is the author of Rudolf Laban, part of Routledge’s series on 20th Century Performance Practitioners. Karen teaches and lectures internationally on Laban Movement Analysis, neuroscience, and community dance. Based in Nova Scotia, she works as a dance movement therapist with seniors, children, and individuals living with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and related conditions, as well as their caregivers. She also serves on the Steering Committee of Global Water Dances.  

Kate Dempsey 

ANZACATA (Australia, New Zealand and Asia)

Kate has been the CEO of ANZACATA for 7 years, building the association in that time from 900 members to over 2000 members in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand. ANZACATA is a membership body for qualified creative arts therapists, from 10 recognised universities, and it is also a self-regulation body which ensures standards of professionalism are maintained by members. ANZACATA also advocates formal government recognition and regulation in each of our jurisdictions.
