SPD-Sanat Psikoterapileri Derneği (Arts Psychotherapies Association)

The Arts Psychotherapies Association (SPD) aims to contribute to the use of creative arts, considered a powerful tool for physical, mental, and social health, for psychotherapeutic purposes in our country.

To achieve this goal, its key functions include: promoting, developing, and utilizing art psychotherapies for the benefit of society; increasing the contributions of therapeutic art work in fields such as health, education, industry, communication, and social services; raising the standards of professionals; and supporting the convergence of individuals and scientific standards in this field.

We welcome all professionals working in this field to organize under the umbrella of SPD on scientific grounds.

• aims to contribute to the recognition of creative arts for psychotherapeutic purposes in Türkiye since 2012
• makes a major contribution in the utilization of arts psychotherapies alongside conventional clinical and nonclinical applications
• bringing arts psychotherapies facilitators in Türkiye together
• organizes International Arts Psychotherapies Week every year including workshops, forums, and symposiums
• follows the latest scientific contributions in the field and keep its members updated
• enhances the intermember relationships
• supports continuing professional development of members by facilitating various national and international workshops and collaborations
