IEATA

CSWI:

The IEATA Creative Wellness Service Initiative (CWSI) program is a free online program open to all that provides members and non-members a forum for expression, reflection, healing, and growth using the expressive arts. The program also gives IEATA members the opportunity to become CWSI Guides and to work in their communities and deliver wellness workshops to marginalized and underserved members.

REAT® Credential:

A Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT®) is a professional who integrates multiple forms of the creative arts (drama, movement, visual arts, music, writing, etc) in counseling, psychotherapy, or in other mental health and helping professions to address behavioral, mental health, life challenges or stressors with individuals and groups.

Drawing upon the arts’ inherent indigenous nature, imagination, and play, Expressive Arts Therapy (EXA) simultaneously uses multiple senses, cognitive processes, and different areas of the brain/body. Clients and patients are able to reclaim their inborn ability and right to heal in their own creative and unique ways.

A REAT® offers EXA as an interdisciplinary therapeutic model, intermodal process, and multimodal approach. These professionals received their REAT® status from the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association®, indicating that they met all of the necessary requirements, including thorough training, education and supervised experience in expressive arts therapy to ensure that clients and individuals have safe, beneficial and high quality treatment.

REACE® Credential:

A Registered Expressive Arts Consultant/Educator (REACE®) is a professional who facilitates Intermodal Expressive Arts for a broad range of purposes including creative expression, personal growth, social action and community building, in areas such as education, organizational development, health fields and more.

A REACE® has demonstrated and documented their mastery in the application of integrative/intermodal expressive arts facilitation. The cornerstone of their work is fluency and the ability to facilitate multiple modalities such as visual art, movement, dance, creative writing, music and poetry using an integrative/intermodal approach.

The REACE® designation from the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association indicates that this professional has met all necessary training and experience requirements and is an expert in the field.
