Dance Therapy

 

  • Location: China

About the program
Inspirees Institute offers the dance movement therapy certificate program which is in compliance with the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA) alternate route training guideline.  After completion of the 4-year systematic training, the students will reach the postgraduate level in US and are eligible to apply for R-DMT credential from ADTA.  Our part-time courses take place periodically in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong and the participating students are from within and out of China.  All our courses are instructed in English by some 20 senior faculties.

  • Dance therapy: Theory and Practice (Course work) – 420 hours
  • General training
  • Advanced psychology
  • Field work – 200 hours
  • Internship – 700 hours
  • Dance training

Laban Bartenieff Movement Studies (LBMS)

About the program
The LBMS (Laban-Bartenieff Movement System) certification program of Inspirees Institute has been held since 2016 in collaboration with the prestigious Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies (LIMS®) in New York. This is the first LIMS Certification Program in China and Asia. We welcome the applications from the world to join this exciting international program, an invaluable opportunity to study LMA/BF and gain unique cultural experiences in China. There are 6 graduates who have earned their CMA from this program so far.  The courses are instructed in English by some 4 senior faculties.

Program contents: 4 modules, 520 hours

Expressive Arts Therapy (EAT)

About the program
The Inspirees Expressive Arts Therapy (EAT) certificate program is a part-time and systematic training program designed towards meeting professional association guidelines. Completion of all 3 modules of coursework and training, plus meeting all other working requirements, including those beyond the training program, leads to the eligibility for application for the REAT- Registered Expressive Arts Therapist credential through IEATA- International Expressive Arts Therapy Association. Courses are taught by internationally known faculty in the EAT field. The program is based on Inspirees‘ 15 years of experience and reputation in China, and is integrated with our other creative arts therapy programs. Inspirees is an organizational member of IEATA and also on the training program list of IEATA. The courses are instructed in English by some 16 senior faculties.

Program contents: 3 modules, 475~950 hours

  • Expressive Arts Therapy coursework modules 1-3
  • General Training (Psychology)
  • Internship/supervision
  • 1,000 hrs of field work (1-2 years, required for the REAT credential)
